Essential elements of Artists’ Television Access’ iconic San Francisco space will be recreated at the Palace of Fine Arts including displays of ephemera, scaled-down theater seating area, video wall, and continual programming. The environment will be immersive but small scale, capturing some of the ramshackle patina and archival grime of ATA's home location.
Viewers will be invited to enter the space, take a seat, and peruse the calendar (a specially produced calendar echoing ATA’s classic calendar style). The program will include highlights from ATA’s programming history, with a focus on recent collaborations and content, mixed with historically significant videos by underground heroes and obscure video freaks. The programming will run continuously so audiences can dip and out as they like, spending a moment or sitting for hours.
