Mike Henderson Blues Performance presented by FOR-SITE Foundation


Mike Henderson, accomplished musician and Bay Area artist included in Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Powerat the de Young Museum, will perform a special musical set highlighting the influence of blues music on African American artists from the 1960s-1980s.

The performance will take place in the fair’s Performance Space across from Michael Rosenfeld Gallery's booth presentation featuring artists also included in Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power, such as Romare Bearden, Sam Gilliam, Norman Lewis, Alma Thomas, and William T. Williams, among many others.
